Provably Fair

The provably fair system is a mechanism that allows fully transparent and fair draws.
Every user can verify the result of a draw on their own and be sure that nobody, including us, could influence it.

1. Once the giveaway is over, we create a list of participants sorted by account ID, assigning each user a ticket range X-Y (from 1 to total tickets) depending on their number of tickets, and save it as a CSV file.

2. We calculate the SHA-256 checksum of that CSV file.

3. We publish the list, its checksum and the number of a future drand round on our X account: https://x.com/bestwaygg_robux.
The round is published about a minute after our post, so at the moment of publication nobody knows the random value that will decide the result.

4. drand is a public randomness beacon run by the League of Entropy (independent organisations such as Cloudflare, Protocol Labs and universities). Every 30 seconds it publishes a new random value that cannot be predicted or influenced by anyone, including us.

5. When the round is published, we calculate the seed: SHA-256(list checksum + ":" + drand randomness).

6. Winning ticket = (first 13 characters of the seed as a hexadecimal number) mod total tickets + 1. The winner is the user whose range X-Y contains the winning ticket.

7. We conclude with another post on https://x.com/bestwaygg_robux, including:
Winner id - ID of the drawn user,
Winner tickets - number of the winner's tickets,
Total tickets - total number of tickets,
Winning ticket - the drawn ticket number,
drand - link to the drand round used in the draw,
Proof - file with all the data needed to verify the result.

1. Download the list of participants from the first post and calculate its SHA-256 checksum (e.g. sha256sum list.csv). It must match the checksum from the post, which was published before the drand round.

2. Open the drand link from the second post and copy the randomness value. You can also check the same round on other independent servers, e.g. drand.cloudflare.com.

3. Paste the values into the calculator below. It computes the seed and the winning ticket in your browser, exactly the same way we do.

4. If you took part and did not win, you can check that your account ID is on the list and see your ticket range.
The account ID can be found in the application in the section "My Account" -> "Account ID".

Giveaways whose result post includes a random.org signature were drawn by the random.org service. You can still verify them at https://api.random.org/signatures/form.
